Getting to Music @ 10,000 Lakes
Music @ 10,000 Lakes is held on the campus of St. John’s University. The physical address is: 2850 Abbey Plaza, Collegeville, Mn 56321. Our retreat activities take place in the Music Building/Humphrey Theater. Lodging and meals will be at the Abbey Guesthouse.
St. John’s University is a liberal arts college located on a site with approximately 2,700 acres of forest, lakes, prairie and wetlands. Academically the college is in partnership with the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, four miles away.
Getting Around the St. John’s University Campus
The St. John’s Abbey Guesthouse, the Music Building, Lake Sagatagan, and access to St. John’s Arboretum are all within just a few blocks of each other. A campus map is found at the web address below:

Music Hall, Practice Rooms, and Stephen B. Humphrey Theater
The Music Hall and Stephen B. Humphrey Theater is the music department’s home on the St. John’s campus. The building centers around the 550-seat theater, a space often used for chamber performances, student recitals, and Fine Arts Programming events. The Music Hall is also home to faculty studios, classrooms and 15 practice rooms.
Accommodations at the St. John’s Abbey Guesthouse
Your Registration fee covers one coaching session with the Artistic Director, Elizabeth Wolff, the cost of a single room for 3 nights, August 14-17.
Single rooms are for one person and include one single bed. Double rooms and suites are also available upon request at a different price.
- Most rooms have a direct lake view, a few have a side view of the lake, and a few have a view of the abbey church.
- All the rooms have private bathrooms; some are fully handicapped accessible.
- Wireless Internet is available throughout the guesthouse.

Meals
All meals will be served in the Abbey Guesthouse Dining Room.
Summer dining hours: Breakfast 7 to 8:30 am, Lunch 11 am to 1 pm, Dinner 5 to 6:30 pm.
